Get more confidence

I have a confession to make. A couple of months ago I totally f*ed up! (or at least I thought so)  when I sent out some mailers with my name in the greeting section instead of yours. Maybe you caught it, maybe you didn't, but I sure did, AFTER I sent it out! Then the self talk began; "how could you be so careless, you're so unprofessional, people will think you're wacko writing to yourself!" and on and on. Then I realized the Universe was trying to show me something. I noticed how easily I allowed myself to lose confidence.   

Creating balance in life

About six years ago my life was unmanageable. Many of the decisions I made  were so out of balance. I practiced yoga four times a week, followed a strict vegan diet and was hung over literally every single weekend. Being an all or nothing kind of girl, I worked hard and partied even harder.

Memories still linger of spending countless Saturdays on my friend's sofa, nursing myself  from the previous night's debauchery with a combination of greasy Chinese food and a variety of homeopathic remedies. Sometimes the physical malady wasn't as painful as trying to remember what I had said or done the night before. "Oh well", I thought, I  didn't care because whatever it was, I'm sure it was fun. And it was, until it wasn't any longer.

The Path To Personal Freedom

Living life in the extremes has always been a challenge for me. Often times I felt as if I was constantly on a roller coaster ride; some days feeling totally high or incredibly low, rarely  feeling balanced and stable. There had to be more to life than what I was experiencing. So I began the search for the missing piece to the puzzle.

I discovered that what was missing was awareness of the path I was creating in my life, with every thought and every action. Eventually I learned to become more conscious of my thoughts and this helped me have more control over my feelings. Developing practical tools, such as ways to meditate through movement, has supported me in dealing with everyday stress that can create imbalance.
